Kaya Köy is also known locally as the ghost town. Six thousand Greek people once thrived in this town. However in 1923 Turkey and Greece went to war and the Greeks left to return to their homeland. Now the town lies deserted and crumbling on the hillside. Just sit and look or walk through the deserted streets and visit the ancient church to soak up the ambiance of a real ghost town.
