Dalyan can only be described as the 'jewel in the crown' of this area. It is one of the most popular days out and we are very fortunate being one of the closest resorts, just over an hour away.
Dalyan itself is a small fishing town and it's where you will board a traditional wooden boat to take you on your journey. You will meander through the reed beds of the Dalyan delta where the film 'The African Queen' was shot. On this magical journey you will see the Millennia Rock Tombs built into a sheer rock face over 100 feet up.

Your first stop will be the highlight of your day; the sulphurous mud baths. The mud here is said to contain special minerals and rejuvenating qualities, ideal for those who suffer eczema, bad mosquito bites or any other skin ailment.
Now that you are relaxed, take time for a leisurely riverside lunch of traditional Turkish food. Afterwards, the boat to take you to the world famous 'Turtle Beach', so called as it remains one of only a handful of places left in the world where Loggerhead Turtles still nest. It is a long sandy beach perfect for children and families, with a shallow incline allowing safe swimming and paddling. With the afternoon sun and the cooling breeze, relax and top up your tan, but remember to keep an eye open for that rare glimpse of a turtle.
